So you’ve made a zine, what next?

Print your zine

If you have access to a photocopier at school or work then you can print your zine for free. Public libraries also offer cheap photocopying.

If you don’t have access to a photocopier or you would like to print more than just a few copies then here are the printers which Queer Zine Library have personally used and recommends:

CLP Printers

Rabbits Road Press

Tender Hands Press

Donate your zine to a zine library

If you are LGBTQIA+ and you’ve made a zine then you can donate your zine using the Queer Zine Library donations form

You can find other zine libraries and archives in your local area via the UK and Ireland Zine Library directory

Find a zine fest in your area

You can find zine fests, clubs, and online events with the Zine World Calendar.

Find a zine distro or bookshop

You can set up your own online zine shop using platforms such as Etsy or Big Cartel, although watch out for fees!

You can also distribute your zine via zine distros. Our favourite queer and feminist run zine distro in the UK is Penfight Distro.

Some specialist and indie bookshops also sell zines. Here are a few of our favourites:

The Bookish type (Leeds)

Shelflife Books and Zines (Cardiff)

Housmans (London)

Category is Books (Glasgow)

Exchange your zine

You don’t have to sell your zines to distribute your work. Take zines to zine fairs and zine clubs and exchange with others. Swap zines with your friends. Send zines to Books Behind Bars
